Our 27′ downdraft spray booth allows us to paint in a bright, dust-free environment to ensure that the high gloss finish on your vehicle is as clean as possible. This high efficiency booth pulls fresh filtered air down through the ceiling, around your car, and out through the floor through another set of filters which are designed to catch solid material overspray.

We realize that in addition to a high quality repair in a timely fashion, you also care about making a positive, lasting impact on your environment.

Jims Excel Collision has taken some large steps toward improving the quality of the air in our community and reducing wasted materials. In addition to our high efficiency paint booth, we are proud to say that we have made a permanent switch to waterborne paint , which is thinned withclean water instead of harmful solvents. This completely new paint system allows us to put liquid materials onto your car with less waste and without spraying unnecessary chemicals into the air. You get a high performance finish on your car without the high cost to the environment.

“Going Green”

At Jims Excel Collision, we take several steps to protect our environment. Due to the nature of the business, collision repair facilities are usually high producers of hazardous materials. We do the best we can to be as “green” as possible in terms of what we use and how we dispose of our waste materials.

We are proud to say that we have made a permanent switch to PPG’s high-performance waterborne paint. This environmentally friendly paint system is the best in the automotive industry – truly “cutting edge” technology. Most vehicle manufacturers use waterborne paint at the factory, so it’s only natural to continue the pattern by applying waterborne paint when you need your car refinished. Color matching is a much more natural process since we’re spraying what’s used on your car when it was built.

We pay close attention to how we dispose of waste like used motor oil, antifreeze, batteries, and any other hazardous fluid or material. Jims Excel Collision classifies under a “small quantity hazardous waste generator” in the EPA’s description of hazmat producers. We ensure that all hazardous materials are properly used, stored, and disposed of with environmentally safe procedures.
